BIG Tech is operated by the NASSCOM Foundation. NASSCOM Foundation is the charitable arm of NASSCOM, the leading voice of Indian IT industry. NF relies heavily on partnerships and is committed to building ICT capacity in civil society. NASSCOM Foundation has launched 100 of rural knowledge centers throughout India. NF has launched the TechSoup donation program as BIG Tech. BIG Tech was launched in September 2007 and received world wide media attention, including the Associated Press.

NASSCOM Foundation (NF) is a trust registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882. Our vision is to leverage Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for empowering and transforming the lives of the under served. One of the primary reasons for the formation of NF was the commitment of NASSCOM and its member companies to promote social development through the application of ICT.
NF has two functional program areas - Fostering ICT for development and promoting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within the IT industry in India. NF is engaged in a number of initiatives, which are multifaceted and leverage on the power of partnerships - where NF brings together its expertise, with the implementing agencies, industry, government bodies & people at the grassroots.
At NF, we believe that ICT helps underserved population access information, services and opportunities which build their capacities to realize their potential. NASSCOM’s member companies have been engaged in various initiatives. NF intends to become a catalyst, encouraging these corporates to do more, capturing best practices, and promoting and assisting their replication. NF also aims to facilitate and strengthen the CSR space to a wider understanding of contribution to development and towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals.
